Overview
I designed and built the website for Anna Catalán, a health psychologist with a practice in Granollers and online sessions. The challenge was to turn her way of working —warm, calm, unhurried— into a digital experience that feels reassuring from the very first second.
I built the whole visual identity around lavender: a soft lilac and sage palette, calligraphic type, illustrations and original photography, and a layered cover with Anna’s portrait that moves gently as you scroll or move the mouse. The motion supports the content without stealing the spotlight.
Behind that calm there is a fast, well-organised site: each therapy has its own page, booking is a short form and the practice shows up when someone looks for a psychologist in Granollers.
The challenge
Someone going through a hard time should feel welcome the moment they arrive, understand how Anna can help and feel encouraged to book a first session without friction.

How I built it
Three angles I care about in every project: how it looks, how it works and how it is built underneath.
Design
Calm as a system
A complete visual identity —palette, type, illustration and photography— applied consistently across every page. Gentle animation: parallax on the cover, underlines that draw themselves and transitions between pages.
- Bespoke lavender-based identity
- Layered cover with parallax
- Smooth page transitions
Quality
Polished in every detail
Optimised images, fast loading and comfortable reading on any screen. Animations switch off when the system asks for reduced motion, and the WhatsApp prompt appears discreetly, just once.
- Adapted to phone, tablet and desktop
- Honours the reduced-motion preference
- Ready for local search
Architecture
Built to grow
A static site where services, copy and contact details are defined in a single place and feed every page. Adding a new therapy means adding its data: its page and its search-engine information are generated automatically.
- Built with Astro, Tailwind CSS and GSAP
- Centralised, reusable content
- Components shared across pages
